U.S. resident of Hopkins busted for firearms
A U.S. citizen of the Stann Creek District is in trouble tonight, accused of keeping a stash of unlicensed weapons and ammo that would be more at home in Baghdad than Hopkins Village. According to police, fifty-year old Hudson Martin was arrested on Saturday after a search of his home resulted in the discovery of a twelve gauge shotgun, nine millimetre pistol and thirty-eight revolver, along with two hundred and thirty-seven twelve gauge cartridges, four sixteen gauge cartridges, three hundred and sixty-seven rounds of nine mil ammunition, one hundred and sixty rounds for the thirty-eight and a whopping one thousand, six hundred and ninety-two twenty-two calibre bullets. Martin has been charged with three counts of keeping an unlicensed firearm and five counts of keeping unlicensed ammunition.
