Carmen Zetina, Commissioner of Police
“The police will never be able to completely eliminate crime, but with initiatives like the inauguration of this police station, and yes, your continued support, together we will be able to reduce the opportunities for the commission of crimes. The Belize police department is committed to the preservation of law and order all over this country, for the betterment of us as a people, and for the benefit of our generation. We aspire and pledge all resources possible for the maintenance of peace and order in this beautiful country of ours.”
Funding for the Jalacte police station was provided by the Government of Belize and residents of the area. Monies to construct the Bella Vista station came from the European Union through the Banana Growers Association, the Government of Belize and the villagers themselves.
