Corozal Money Changer, Shortchanged by Burglars
A money exchanger from Ranchito, Corozal District got robbed and beaten near his home on Thursday morning. Sixty-three-year-old Everaldo Magaña was inside his vehicle in front of his residence in the village when three men approached him demanding money. The men beat him when he told them that he didn’t have any. The trio then went into Magana’s house and stole a total of twelve thousand, eight hundred and fifty-one dollars and twenty-eight cents in Mexican pesos and Belize dollars before escaping. Police investigations continue.
