Sandhill youth drowns in Belize River
A cool swim on a hot day turned tragic for a group of friends from Sandhill. Police say that on Saturday, twenty-year-old Hilberto Villa went for a dip in the Belize River at Grace Bank just after one, but a short time later disappeared. The group immediately started looking for their friend, but it was not until ten on Sunday morning that they pulled Villa’s body from the water. The corpse has been transported to the K.H.M.H. and awaits a post-mortem.
