Drunk driving suspect charged w/attempted bribery

Another errant driver in Orange Walk has been charged with crimes, but not your everyday traffic offences. Police report that on Saturday thirty-one year old Leonardo Chell was involved in a traffic accident and was suspected of being drunk. He was injured in the incident, so police took him to the Northern Regional Hospital. But instead of letting the doctors fix him up, Chell opened his wallet and offered the officers a hundred dollars to take him home. The single blue note didn’t impress anybody, so in addition to possible charges stemming from the traffic accident, tonight, Chell is charged with the crime of attempted bribery.
