Dump truck driver: D.P.P. should face justice

Story Picture
According to police, the results of blood alcohol tests administered to four drivers involved in Monday’s pileup on the Northern Highway are not yet available. Reports from eyewitnesses say the accident was triggered by the erratic movements of a government owned Mitsubishi Montero being driven by Director of Public Prosecutions, Kirk Anderson. Today Edmund Humphreys, driver of the dump truck that Anderson ran into, told News 5 that the D.P.P. was clearly at fault.

“All I saw was a white thing coming up to my direction and he the swerving on the road, like off and on he coming on the road. And sudden one, look like he lost control altogether of his vehicle, and run straight into my truck. The he pop off my truck front spring and I lost control all together of my truck. Then from there, the truck flipped over with me. I get so frightened inside the truck that I don’t know which side is up nor the bottom. I come out at the top of the truck then a guy come and tell me to try come down and relax myself. Then, from deh when I come out, they told me it was Mr. Kirk Anderson. After that, the ambulance come and they put me in the ambulance and take me to the hospital.

“What I want to tell Mr. Kirk Anderson, what he did was wrong because he is supposed to know what is right. And the truck is my living and I have my family to live for. And plus, the people in hospital, the little baby that get damaged, I need him to go and check the little girl.”

Anderson is known to suffer from diabetes and it is speculated he may have experienced a blackout brought on by low blood sugar. Meanwhile, a passenger in one of the other two vehicles, Angelina Mueller, is reported in stable condition with a broken left arm, but her daughter, Sophia, is still listed as critical following treatment for multiple fractures to the body.
