Mr. Nice Guy: I was robbed
Between the beauty pageants, the popularity pinups, the little misses and the seenager stage shows, Belize is arguably the contest capital of the world. But sometimes, after the spotlight comes stress, as more than a few contestants have complained of getting jilted out of their prizes. That’s what Mr. Nice Guy winner, Troy Banner, claims happened to him, and today he stopped by with a few words to the wise.
Troy Banner, Mr. Nice Guy
“The advice I would give, first of all, whosoever would be organizing any pageants, to be a responsible person by getting the little letters or so forth that the person needs to go to their sponsor with, have it on the spot the same night of the pageant so that they can give the person and let them go pick it up themselves. And for those who want to take part in different activities or so forth, you stay at the pageant that same night and you wait for your gifts, because that is so uncalled for; it is so not right.”
Banner says he has retained the services of a lawyer to recover the prizes promised to him by the Mr. Nice Guy competition organizers.
