Godwin Hulse named Senator

On Wednesday, members of the business community and the Belize Chamber of Commerce and Industry officially elected their senatorial candidate. He is Godwin Hulse. Hulse has served as President of the Chamber of Commerce, Chairman of the National Business Council and the Trade and Investment Promotion Service, which evolved into BELTRAIDE. He was a member of the Constitutional Reform Commission, and has represented Belize internationally on a number of trade related negotiating teams, dealing with organizations such as CARICOM, F.T.A.A. and Lome IV. Hulse is married and has six children. He replaces Fred Hunter as the business community’s representative. The only Senator left to be named to the thirteen member Senate is the appointee from the Belize Council of Churches.
