Latest 20 vehicles bring police inventory to 100
This evening the Belize Police Department took delivery on the last installment of shiny new metal. The twenty cars and pickup trucks bring the new fleet that the police have received over the past three weeks to one hundred. During a short ceremony, Police Commissioner Carmen Zetina said the vehicles will enhance their mobility in the fight against crime.

“These are the ideal vehicles for the Police Department; the cars for the highways, the pickups, both for the highways and for the rural areas. I think they’re very good vehicles for that purpose.”
“Once you have the logistics to support you, the public can expect better service from the Police Department and these, as I said, they will go into different areas, Corozal, Orange Walk, to get the numbers going.”
The Ford Focus sedans and Ranger pickups were purchased for a total of approximately three million Belize dollars.
