Gas Station Robbed in Cayo

There was a brazen armed robbery on Friday in San Ignacio. Just before ten a.m., twenty-eight-year-old pump attendant Vicente Maldonado of Shawville area was held up at gunpoint at Sirrom Gas, located in the Kontiki area of San Ignacio Town. Maldonado says that he was sitting around his desk when a gunman dressed in dark clothing, cap on his head with his face covered held what appeared to be a nine-millimeter gun to his face, while another thief appeared from to keep watch. The culprit then demanded cash and fearing for his life, he handed over seven hundred and twenty-seven dollars in different denomination and his cell phone valued at two hundred and fifty dollars.
