Alfonso Noble to Learn Fate in RTA Case in January, 2018
On Christmas Eve of 2016, media personality Alfonso Noble was accused of knocking down and killing Hattieville resident Gilbert Myers near mile four on the George Price Highway. Noble was suspected of being under the influence of alcohol, but for personal reasons refused to provide a blood specimen to police. He was back in court today awaiting a preliminary inquiry on indictable charges of manslaughter by negligence, among others. Chief Magistrate Sharon Frazer indicated to Noble’s attorney, Herbert Panton, and the prosecution that she has yet to peruse the completed file ahead of the inquiry and would need time to do so. In response, Panton declared to the court that they would be making submission on the sufficiency of evidence against Noble. The case has been further adjourned to January twenty-fourth, 2018, for preliminary inquiry.
