Bowen and Bowen denies rumours of sale

Rumours and gossip are the daily bread of the news business and over the last week a very load whisper making the rounds in the business community was the alleged sale of the Bowen and Bowen group of companies: that’s right, according to the rumour mill, the brewery, soft drink plant and Crystal water operation had all been sold, leaving a far wealthier Barry Bowen to focus on his shrimp farm in Placencia and agro industrial complex in Gallon Jug. A tale this big begged to be checked out. When we called Barry Bowen today, we were told he was out of the country, but we did speak to group Vice President, Karl Ayers, who told us, yes, he has heard the rumour, but no, he knows nothing about it. Neither, according to Ayers, does Barry Bowen know anything about any alleged sale. We’ll keep you posted.
