Released for Now, Suspected Abductor Could Still Face Charges

In an update to the alleged foiled abduction of three girls from El Progresso Seven Mile Community in the Cayo District, we can confirm tonight that the American businessman held in detention has been released. He was held for forty-eight hours, but no charges have been brought against him. News Five has been told that the Director of Public Prosecutions will be making a determination, if there is enough evidence, to press charges against the well-known businessman. the girls claimed that they were abducted, taken to their kidnapper’s house and were en route to Belize City in the pan of a pickup truck when it was intercepted by the father of two of them.
