Jilted lover charged in attack on ex

Meanwhile, Orange Walk police had their hands full on Monday after a jilted lover launched an attack on her ex-boyfriend and his new sweetheart. According to the police, twenty-nine year old Denise Garbutt of a Cristock Street address didn’t take kindly to the fact that her former common-law husband found himself a new mate, so on Monday evening, she went to the girl’s house and started a fight. During the incident, it is alleged that Garbutt pulled out a knife, stabbed twenty-one year old Eddie Alvarez in the shoulder and then boxed Beverly Ramclam in the eye. Police detained Garbutt soon after the incident and tonight she is charged with aggravated burglary, wounding and harm.
