Mom Says Badly Beaten Son Faces Charges

Late this evening, News Five spoke with Genevieve Cayetano, Unlimited’s mother.  She told us that after being given the runaround, she was finally able to locate her son at the Raccoon Street Police Station where he was being held pending charges.  Cayetano says that not only was Unlimited badly injured, he was also slapped with additional charges stemming from the Big Tom saga.

“He was badly beaten by the police department.  What they did, they made sure that they didn’t beat his face but they put a shirt on his head and they slapped him about.  They handcuffed him, brutally handcuffed him and while he was handcuffed, they stomped him up in his belly, beat up his foot and so he was spitting blood.  I had asked Officer Williams, first they took me on a wild goose chase to find my son.  I went to Raccoon Street, they said he wasn’t there.  Then I went to Queen Street, they said he wasn’t there, then Officer Vidal told Sergeant Williams to tell me where he is.  I went to the Raccoon Street Police Station where I asked to see hi, then they made me see him.  That was around one, I told them he needs to go to the hospital because he’s complaining of pain.  They ignored me, so I spoke back to Sergeant Williams and Sergeant Williams told me to go to the Professional Standards Branch and I went there and I made a complaint to Sergeant Marin and Sergeant Marin told me that he will then instruct them to take him to the hospital.  When I came downstairs back, first, before that they told me that the charge was going to be obstruction.  When Sergeant Marin came down, Sergeant Marin informed the officer because I showed him, I took a picture of the officer and I showed the picture [of the officer] that my son told me beat him and so I showed him the picture and Marin went to the officer and told him that he will be, he is being investigated because he is alleged of beating Bernard Cayetano, Unlimited, and then the officer then said that the charge is now assault, resisting arrest and a whole heap of thing.  Then lawyer OJ Elrington showed and he interviewed them and he was telling them what was happening why have they arrested Unlimited and then they gave him another set of charges that they will be leveling against Unlimited, noh.  And also, he insisted that they bring him to the hospital and so at 4:30 this evening, after four hours and a half Unlimited was brought to the hospital.  He‘s spitting blood, he‘s in bad pain in the lower abdomen and his feet, he cannot walk well.  So he was badly beaten.”

“What are these charges in relation to, do you know?”

Genevieve Cayetano

“Well I get to understand that there was a young man that made threats against the GSU.  Unlimited posted a comment on the media which had nothing to do with the killing or the wanting to kill GSU.  He only put about a Kenroy Flowers that they want to kill him and that the public needs to step into it.”
