US national and 3 Belizeans sentenced to 10 yrs in Mexico
The incident happened last July at the Las Vegas Casino at the northern border. And today the three Belizean security guards and the Casino owner, a US national, involved in the incident, were convicted in a Mexican court. The three guards Martin Miller, Curlin Thompson and David Gomez were sentenced to ten years for Attempted Murder while the US National, George Hardy Junior received seven years. In the incident the armed guards set chase after two Mexicans, Edwin and Luis Navarro who had become unruly at the casino. But that chase ended up across the Mexican border where Edwin was shot. The men violated the Mexican law when they illegally entered that country with their guns.
