Hit and run kills Belmopan farmer
A farmer from Belmopan is dead tonight, the victim of a hit and run accident. According to police, late Sunday night motorists spotted the body of a man lying across the Hummingbird Highway, near Las Flores Village, suffering from multiple head and body injuries. He was transported to the Belmopan Hospital where authorities pronounced him dead on arrival. The victim has since been identified as fifty-one year old Jose Alejardo Mejia of Las Flores Village. Police are asking anyone with information on what appears to be a case of hit and run to please contact the nearest station.
