Taiwan donates toward Foreign Ministry
If we weren’t sure before, we now have official confirmation that all is back to normal on the Belizean media scene. That’s because for the first time in several months we can report the donation of money by the Government of Taiwan to the Government of Belize. This afternoon a cheque for four hundred and fifty-five thousand, seven hundred and seventy-eight dollars was handed over to Prime Minister Said Musa by Ambassador Charles Tsai. It is the sixth payment toward the modernization of Belize’s Foreign Ministry under an agreement signed in 2000 between Taiwan and the nations of Central America.
