Accused Forger Targeted Governor General

Elston Elijio

Police are looking for twenty-three-year-old Elston Elijio of Dangriga in connection with a case of forgery. Belmopan Police issued a ‘wanted poster’ for Elijio because he reportedly created a fake Facebook account under the name “Colville Young”, the Governor General of Belize.  Elijio allegedly created the fake account using an email address similar to that of the G.G.  The active fake account also used photos of Young. The Press Office is advising users to disregard any friend requests or communication from such pages and especially refrain from sharing any personal information with said accounts.
