Driver Turned Accident Victim Faces Likely Prosecution
A notice of intended prosecution has been served on the driver of a vehicle that was involved in a massive head-on collision on Tuesday morning near the outskirts of Belize City. Warren Davis was traveling along with two passengers identified as twenty-five-year-old Devon ‘Hulk’ Bailey and twenty-two-year-old Randeen Valerio in the vicinity of mile five on the George Price Highway when he ran into an oncoming delivery truck. The impact of the crash caused severe damage to the front of the Lexus car and left both Bailey and Valerio seriously injured. They were rushed to the K.H.M.H. where Bailey remains hospitalized with a broken leg and injuries to the face, while Valerio is listed in stable, but critical condition. The driver of the Unicomer vehicle was fifty-five-year-old Santiago Perez of an Orange Walk address. Davis, as we reported on Tuesday, had to be pried from the distorted vehicle by personnel from the fire department using the Jaws of Life.
