Viewers respond to help mom and twins
It didn’t take long for News 5’s generous viewers to respond to a mother in need. Following last night’s story on Larna Flowers and her twenty-two pounds of joy, the phone immediately began to ring. The result was a substantial amount of supplies that will help the newborn twins get off to what we hope will be a good start in life. One of the largest donations came from Antoinette Young Castillo of Orange Walk, coordinator for the organisation, Reaching People in Need.

“First of all, we want to say thanks to the Lord, he’s the provider. This is Reaching People in Need, affiliated with Food for the Poor out of Miami Florida. We get stuff every month from Florida, and we’re able to reach people in need throughout the country of Belize. And when I saw your story last night, I knew what twins was all about, because my mom had twins, and I just said, well we have this stuff, we have to get to this little lady. And God has blessed us with it.”

“What will she be receiving?”
Antoinette Young Castillo
“She will be receiving couple high chairs, couple car seats or carriers, we have diapers, infant clothing, infant blankets, baby bottles. You name it, she has a few of everything.”
This afternoon Larna Flowers and the twins had still not been released from the K.H.M.H.
