Lisa needs your help to win “Star Search”

Last week we reported on the success of eleven-year-old Belizean Lisa Tucker as she sang her way into the finals of the popular U.S. television show “Star Search”. This Thursday in the biggest night of her young life, Lisa needs your help. Fully one half of the judging on the show is done over the internet. Even though we know she is the best performer, this is not the time to take chances. Viewers with access to the world wide web are asked to please go to the website www.cbs.com/star as early as two hours before the seven p.m. Belize time broadcast and follow the directions to vote for Lisa as many times as possible. We will not be able to air the programme live, due to the timing of our own newscast, but will break into the news as soon as the result of the competition appears on satellite. Lisa Tucker, born in the U.S.A., is the daughter of Belizean Eleanor Gabourel Tucker, formerly of Dangriga.
