Santa Rosa man is $5,000 Courts winner
It’s a new year, and–of course–that means a new promotion at Courts. News 5’s Jacqueline Woods was on hand this morning as the wheel spun for the first disbursement of… Megabucks.
Jacqueline Woods, Reporting
Twenty-two year old Diego Villanueva had only once chance to spin the wheel and win up to five thousand dollars. Having waited for two days since his name was drawn, the resident of Santa Rosa Village in the Stann Creek District, was understandable nervous, but ready.
Jacqueline Woods
“Diego, it took only one spin and you managed to win the money that was guaranteed in the first Mega Bucks Draw, that is five thousand dollars, do you call that luck?”
Diego Villanueva, Courts Winner
“That’s true, because that was my first time shopping with Courts, to buy a mattress, and they gave me a paper to fill out to the lucky winner, so I’m the one.”
Jacqueline Woods
“How did you feel when you walked into Courts this morning?”
Diego Villanueva
“I just feel that I came with all my might to win this money here and I truly gained it.”
By the time the Mega Bucks Draw concludes in December, Courts Belize Limited would have given out a total of one hundred and eighty thousand dollars.
Ward “Mucho Dinero” Grant, Host, Megabucks Draw
“You just spin a wheel and you can get anything from one thousand to five thousand dollars. Come October, I think they go from five to ten thousand, November up to fifty thousand, and December up to seventy-five thousand dollars, that someone could win just by spinning the wheel.”
…And to get that chance to spin the wheel, all you need to do is spend fifty dollars at the store and you will be given a ticket to enter the raffle. Jacqueline Woods for News 5.
The next Megabucks Draw for another five thousand dollars will be held on March eleventh.
