Big debate set for Feb. 18
Confirming what we had reported last week, a joint press release by the Belize Business Bureau and Belize Chamber of Commerce and Industry today announced their sponsorship of a public debate between the leaders of the two major political parties. The debate will be held the night of February eighteenth in the Radisson’s Caracol Room and will be broadcast live to the nation over television and radio. Details of the format for the event are still being worked out by the two parties, as well as the question of any future debates between other political figures.
