City suspects hit with more charges in Corozal
Three of the four men arrested at a traffic stop in Orange Walk on Sunday and charged with possession of an unlicensed shotgun and ammo have been hit with new charges related to recent crimes in Corozal. Twenty-five year old Kenrick Reneau and twenty-four year old Dwayne Bishop, along with Hubert Velasquez, were charged with burglary in connection with the January third theft of two pump action shotguns and one nine millimetre pistol from the office of K.B.H. Security in Corozal. One of the shotguns is allegedly the same as that found in the defendants’ car on Sunday. Meanwhile, twenty-two year old Anniver Palacio, already on remand from the Sunday bust, has been charged with robbery in connection with the January eighteenth hold-up of the Pepsi Cola depot in Corozal, which netted over two thousand dollars. In addition, Palacio, Velasquez, Reneau and Bishop have been charged with attempted burglary for a January twenty-sixth report of a group of men who fled the scene of a break-in that was foiled in progress. Police say these suspects, all from Belize City, are part of a larger group of criminals whose activities are being closely investigated.
