Four arrested for unlicensed weapon
Meanwhile, a traffic stop on the Northern Highway may have led to the prevention of some other robberies. Reports are that on Sunday, police officers stopped a white Jeep Cherokee on the Northern outskirts of Orange Walk Town. When they searched the interior, they found a pump action shotgun with three live rounds, a crowbar and a cloth mask. The occupants of the vehicle were immediately arrested. They have been identified as twenty-five year old Kenrick Reneau, twenty-four year old Dwayne Bishop, twenty-three year old Aniver Palacio and twenty-two year old Egbert Vernon, all of Belize City. The young men have been charged with possession of an unlicensed firearm and ammunition. Police continue to investigate their possible involvement in connection with a series of crimes recently committed in the north.
