Weekend entertainment includes Mr. Vegas concert

There’s much more happening this weekend aside from the National Agricultural and Trade Show. Safiyyah has the details of these events.

Hey I’m Safiyyah and this is what’s happening Belize, for the final weekend in May.

This weekend the place be is definitely the Agriculture and Trade Show being held at the show grounds. Despite the postponement this year’s fair promises to be bigger and better. Better late than never! The agric show is one we all look forward to. It’s a chance to see all of our Belizean products and services. Plus, hanging out there means lots of food, drinks and of course special deals. The fair will be running from today, all day Saturday and Sunday.

And later they are calling it the official Agric after party; it’s the long awaited huge spring fling concert featuring none other than Mr. Vegas himself. I spoke to Mr. Vegas and he told me all about this performance and the one tonight in San Pedro…

“So yoh know seh yeh, when we hit di stage, it’s gonna be crazy. It’s gonna be like song like [singing “Hot Gyal”…]. Hits after hits, crazy hits and you know it’s gonna be tonight yoh si weh mi ah seh, in San Pedro. It’s gonna be crazy down there at Jaguars. What tomorrow is all about, the University of Belize campus concert live with Mr. Vegas, live in concert. So that’s going to be a crazy, crazy, crazy event.”

“For the first time ever, what we’re gonna do, we’re gonna be visiting the island of San Pedro. Jaguars Temple, the first time ever. Mr. Vegas will be there performing live. I guess you could still get tickets right now. When you get through with that, it’s all about UB mein. First time again, Belmopan, UB Spring Fling on the compound. The main drive behind this show is a fundraiser. We’re trying to raise funds for the less fortunate, for those kids who got all that talent and skill and just can’t get that financial backetive, UB called us, contacted us here at Synergy and asked us how can we help them raise some funds and this was the idea. We came up with a show like this, we thought about the artist and Mr. Vegas, you couldn’t go wrong.”

Also this weekend, the Our Lady of the Way R.C School will be having their May Far with lots of food and drinks on Sale. They will also have lots of games and tasty pastries. The fair will run from two until nine on the School campus. So if you can, go out and support this school’s fair.
