Elderly bicyclist struck down in Ladyville

There were two traffic fatalities over the weekend; first, sixty-four-year-old Efrain Alfaro was knocked down and killed around two-thirty on Saturday morning. The Honduran national of  Franks Eddy Village was walking a bike between Los Lagos and Nova on the Philip Goldson Highway when a truck driven by Sergio Paredez knocked him down. Police share the details of the fatal road traffic accident.

“Ladyville Police responded to a traffic accident on the Philip Goldson highway between miles 12 and 13 where they observed the motionless body of an elderly Hispanic male person on the right hand side of the highway with cut wounds to the head and lower back.Initial investigation reveal that about 2:17a.m, Sergio Paradez, 49 years old Belizean Businessman of Orange Walk Town was driving his red 2007 Ford Explorer pickup on the Phillip Goldson Highway from the direction of Ladyville to Orange Walk Town and upon reaching miles 12-13, he knocked down the said Hispanic male person.”
