Jose Najera Survives Drive-By in Belmopan

Twenty-year-old Jose Najera is lucky to be alive tonight, following a shooting incident in Belmopan on December twenty-first.  Najera was seated inside his vehicle in the vicinity of the Ring Road when he was accosted by an unknown individual who opened fire on him.  Assistant Commissioner of Police Joseph Myvett shared what police have been able to learn about the incident so far.

“There was one shooting in Belmopan on Thursday night where Jose Najera, twenty-years-old was in the area of the Governor General’s Field, inside his vehicle, when another vehicle approached where he was, where someone fired a shot which caught him to the chin and to the left hand.  One suspect is being sought in regards to this investigation as well.”
