Northern Highway gas station robbed
It’s not the first time that the Buca Shell gas station has been held up, but that does not make the incident any less terrifying for its employees. Around 8:00 on Thursday night, a red Toyota Corolla pulled up at the station. Two dark complexioned masked men, armed with handguns, got out of the vehicle and held up two of the station’s cashiers. One of the women, who were inside the station’s office, was relived of a hundred and eight dollars in cash. Meanwhile, the second robber approached another attendant outside of the main building and stole from her four hundred and twenty-five dollars. The duo quickly jumped back into the car and drove off in the direction of Belize City. This afternoon the police, acting on a tip, found the car abandoned on a city street. Further investigations have led police to detain one suspect.
