One of Two Charged in Saturday Shooting Make Bail
One of two men accused in the shooting of Tyrone Barcelona and Steve Finley last Saturday is out on bail, but the other remains on remand at the Central Prison. Twenty-one-year-old Jason Anderson is out on bail of ten thousand dollars after being arraigned on Tuesday on charges of attempted murder, use of deadly means of harm, dangerous harm, wounding and abetment to commit murder. However, twenty-four-year-old Reese Fitzgibbon will remain behind bars after the Crown objected to bail. According to court records, he violated his conditions for a previous firearm and ammunition charge in November when he was arrested in this case. Anderson must report to the police station once a week, refrain from interfering with the prosecution witnesses and the virtual complainants in this case; and appear in court on all adjournments, including his next court date set for April ninth, 2018. Barcelona and Finley were shot and injured on January sixth on Iguana Street when a Nissan Altima drove up in the area and two men exited and opened fire. Barcelona, the intended target, was hit in the left arm where the bullet exited. Finley was shot multiple times to the body and is listed in a critical condition at the K.H.M.H.
