Brandon Tillett Re-Charged in Partner Altercation; Out on Bail
The notorious “B-E-T” – thirty-one year old Brandon Tillett – today made bail of ten thousand dollars granted in the Supreme Court, but on a different charge. On January third, Tillett was arraigned for aggravated assault against his former common-law partner in Burrell Boom village. Today, that charge was withdrawn before Senior Magistrate Aretha Ford and Tillett pleaded not guilty to a substituted charge of abetment to commit aggravated assault. Despite his extensive rap sheet, including previous charges of murder and attempted murder, the Crown prosecutor Jacqueline Willoughby made no objection to bail being granted. Justice Antoinette Moore ordered Tillett to report to the police station once a week beginning on January nineteenth; appear in court on February second, 2018 and subsequent adjourned dates; have no contact with the complainant, members of her family or other prosecution witnesses; and avoid any arrests or other charges while out on bail. In court, he was represented by attorney Leeroy Banner.
