Why Did Joselin Dominguez, 21, Die?
On Friday evening, a young woman was discovered dead in a room in Bella Vista Village in the south. Police officers visited the location and observed the body of twenty-one-year-old Joselin Dominguez lying on her bed. There were no signs of violence on the body and a postmortem scheduled for later this week will determine the cause of death. Her body was transported to the Southern Regional Hospital. ACP Joseph Myvett shares the details:

“On Friday, the twelfth of January, shortly after eight p.m., police responded to a room in Bella Vista Village in Toledo District where they saw the lifeless body of a Hispanic female, later identified as Jocelyn Dominguez, twenty-one-year-old Belizean, who was seen motionless. She was last seen alive sometime around two a.m. on the said Friday. Police investigation into this matter also continues.”

“Was she found by a family member?”

“No, she wasn’t and at the time that she was found there was no visible sign of violence on her body.”

“Was she nude or was clothing intact?”
ACP Joseph Myvett
“Yes it was.”

“So, it seems to be a natural cause of death?”
ACP Joseph Myvett
“Well, that will be determined by the outcome of the investigation, which will be scheduled for later this week.”

“Have police made contact with her family?”
ACP Joseph Myvett
“Yes, we have.”
Reporter
“Okay and would they have said anything about her mental health, if perhaps she was depressed or anything like that?”
ACP Joseph Myvett
“No, none. Apparently, she was not living with her family. She was living down there with friends.”
