Charges Upgraded after P.C. Enid Tillett Dies
Police have laid additional charges on twenty-four-year-old Jesus Enrique Muñoz of Orange Walk Town. Today, he was charged with manslaughter by negligence and causing death by careless conduct in connection with the accident that claimed the life of twenty-seven-year-old police constable Enid Tillett. Munoz was arraigned before the court and granted bail of five thousand dollars and one surety of the same amount. Last week, Munoz was charged with driving motor vehicle without due care and attention, failing to give way when changing direction, negligent grievous harm and using motor vehicle without third party risk insurance. The accident happened on Saturday, January sixth around ten-fifteen in the night on the Belize-Corozal Road. Munoz was driving a vehicle that collided into a motorcycle driven by Tillett.
