Post-mortem: Cayo death due to alcohol
A post-mortem has concluded that no foul play–except perhaps his own–was involved in the death of a San Ignacio man whose body was found on Thursday. Medical examinations revealed that fifty year old Santos Velasquez died of asphyxia due to alcohol intoxication. Velasquez was found Thursday morning in Santa Elena lying on the side of the road near the wooden bridge that crosses the Macal River. He was declared dead on arrival at the San Ignacio Hospital.
