Shakeem Humes Unable to Evade Police with Weed

Shakeem Humes

Western Paradise labourer Shakeem Humes was charged with possession of five hundred and eleven grams or one point one pounds of cannabis with intent to supply for drug trafficking today before Chief Magistrate Sharon Frazer. Police say that on Friday night, a vehicle coming from Central American Boulevard onto Mopan Street refused to stop when ordered. Police set chase after the fleeing vehicle and its two occupants, later executing a blockade on the street to stop it. Humes was seen leaving the vehicle with a bag in his hand, which police say they saw him throw under the vehicle. Police stopped him and retrieved the bag containing the suspected cannabis. Humes, pleading not guilty, said police picked on him alone and not the other person in the vehicle. But he was offered and met bail of three thousand dollars.
