Orange Walk’s Most Wanted, Andy Rhaburn, is Captured in Rhaburn Ridge

A week after killing his mother with a crowbar, wanted Carmelita resident, Andy Rhaburn was captured by Orange Walk Police in the vicinity of Rhaburn Ridge on the Phillip Goldson Highway.  Rhaburn was on the lam for the past six days and was considered armed and dangerous after he attacked and killed fifty-four-year-old Braulia Pech at their home in the village. She was found bleeding from the head in her yard. Since the heinous crime, Rhaburn had been spotted in different areas. This afternoon, Orange Walk police caught up with him; Rhaburn was reportedly shot during his captured when he attacked the police with a machete. Rhaburn was hit to the left arm and left hip and is currently hospitalized at the Northern Regional Hospital under police guard. Even before his capture, police told the media that Rhaburn evaded the authorities by moving between Carmelita and Crooked Tree.

“It is a matter that he is moving up and down and we do not have that exact information as to where he is. However we know that the Orange Walk police are conducting several searches within Carmelita and other places within the highway; information is that he is hiding in different locations noh.”
