Cane Farmer in San Narciso is Latest Traffic Accident Victim
A cane farmer was knocked down and killed in San Narciso Village around six-thirty on Thursday evening. Police say that thirty-five-year-old Gerardo Chable was driving his vehicle on the San Narciso main road heading towards San Victor Village when his vehicle hit fifty-two-year-old Hermenejildo Patt on a bicycle. The vehicle reportedly dragged Patt a couple feet away from where he was hit. He was rushed to the hospital where he died. We spoke with a relative via phone today, who told us that he arrived on the scene shortly after the accident and was reliably informed that Chable, a high school teacher, was under the influence of alcohol. The family also alleges that Chable has been involved in about four other accidents in the village.
On the Phone: Voice of a Relative
“I just understand that Mister Patt was riding his bicycle towards his house and he was trying to get to the next side of the road. He was knocked down by a teacher with his vehicle, a white rodeo.”

“In this vehicle, did Mister Patt not see the vehicle coming or was the vehicle speeding?”
On the Phone: Voice of a Relative
“Well, they say he didn’t see the vehicle because the vehicle was coming in fast speed. And what witnesses say is that the driver of the vehicle was under the influence of alcohol and they were heading towards the village of san victor.”
Police say that Chable was served with an NIP and a blood sample was taken.
