New police substation opened in Belmopan
In news from the nation’s capital, on Friday a new police substation was officially declared open. Three months after the ground breaking, the building, located on the San Martin Road, was handed over by the Belmopan City Council to the Belize Police Department. The wooden structure will be manned by police officers who previously guarded the residences of the Governor General and the Prime Minister. Built by JEBCO construction, the structure cost twenty-five thousand dollars. The homes of the G.G. and the P.M. will now be manned by members of the B.D.F. special constable programme.
