Women’s club hosts flea market

The group may not be household name, but the Belize chapter of the International Club For Women has been working diligently over the past thirteen years to help local charitable organisations and families who are in need. Especially around this time of the year, the fifty-seven club members are busy planning functions to help others enjoy the season. One such activity takes place on Saturday at Brodies parking lot on Regent Street. The flea market, held in conjunction with the Belize City Council, promises to offer gift alternatives to those who are still not be sure of what to buy for Christmas. This morning two of the club’s members, President Debbie Lisbey and public relations officer, Alla Trejo, visited News 5 to encourage the public to stop by.

“Out club aims to familiarize women from abroad with the Belizean community and our aims are to raise funds and then we donate those funds to charities such as Mercy Kitchen, Red Cross and scholarships.”
