Gomez Women Charged for Drug Trafficking in Orange Walk

Ongoing anti-drug operations took police up north to the village of Trinidad in the Orange Walk District. In an empty lot there, they found a plastic bag containing forty pieces of crack cocaine that amounted to two point nine grams. There were no arrests. But in a second bust in the village, on Wednesday morning, police searched the house of Raquel Gomez. They found more than nine grams of crack cocaine.

Twenty-five-year-old Gomez and thirty-six-year-old Marcela Gomez were at the house during the operation. Both women were subsequently charged with “Drug Trafficking.”
