Andy Rhaburn Faces More Charges for Carmelita Terror
Additional charges of attempted murder and use of deadly means of harm have been brought against twenty-six-year-old Andy Rhaburn. The Carmelita resident is accused of killing his mother, Braulia Pech, by bludgeoning her in the head with a crowbar on the morning of January sixteenth. Forty-three-year-old Lilia Xujur was also injured shortly after that deadly attack; she too was struck repeatedly with the metal lever in a vicious attempt at her life. Had it not been for Curtis Wade, who intervened in the second assault, Xujur would have suffered a similar fate as Rhaburn’s fifty-four-year-old mother. Rhaburn was captured by Orange Walk police on January twenty-second and had to be shot in order to be subdued, as he reportedly attacked the arresting officers with a machete.
