Stabbing Reported in Caye Caulker

A Caye Caulker resident is tonight recovering at the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital for stabbing injuries he received just after eleven on Monday morning on the north side of the island. As police responded to a fight in the Palapa area, they would set chase after a vessel on the western side of the island in which Jamal Bennett and Jermaine Grant were found. Thirty-four-year-old Bennett, a Belizean laborer of Caye Caulker had been stabbed to his abdomen and shoulder. He was rushed to the polyclinic on La Isla Carinosa and later transported to the K.H.M.H. for treatment. Police are seeking one person in connection with the stabbing incident.
