Punta Rocker releases new CD
He entered the musical scene professionally in 1994 and since then, has performed with several bands, delivering punta rock to an audience that just can’t seem to get enough. Now a solo artist, Supa G’s second CD, called “Unity”, features twelve songs in three different languages.

“One particular song on this CD is called “Rumours”, which is talking about the gossip that is always happening on a day to day basis. What it’s saying is that we should keep out of rumours cause as much as people may say sticks and stones may break my bones, but also I think words can hurt someone emotionally and eventually physically. So I think we should keep away from rumours and that will be a better way to live by having proved certain things.”

“You seem to be a favourite especially among the young people. What keeps Supa G fresh?”
Supa G
“I think my style is one, the variety of my music, and also the message that I send across to my audience, and also the rhythm behind my music.”
And his music will take a whole new direction come next year.

“I’ll be working on a new kind of music called the Supa Paranda, something brand new that I’m trying to invent. But I’m still working on that, but in the future I hope to release a new CD with that style of music. Also, I’m planning to do an album with only positive messages. Hopefully I’ll be featuring different artists on that CD, because that’s something that I usually do, feature artists mostly from Dangriga. But now I’ll try to feature artists around the entire country of Belize.”
Copies of “Unity” are available at all major music outlets for twenty-five dollars.
