One Held for Cayo Shooting

Meanwhile in the Cayo District, police have one person detained in connection with a shooting incident that occurred just before midnight on Saturday. It occurred in the Arizona area of Teakettle Village just off the George Price Highway in which Adolfo Flores was shot to the leg following an altercation with a group of men. Assistant Commissioner of Police Joseph Myvett explains:

“Sometime shortly before midnight on Saturday, one Adolfo Flores reported to police that while socializing in Arizona Village, he got into an altercation with several persons which resulted in one of the persons who he was involved in the altercation with pulling out a firearm and firing two shots, one of which caught him in the left leg. Police have since detained one persons pending charges in relation to this investigation.”
