Armed robber “gun-butts” Chinese businesswoman for ten grand U.S.

A robber got away with ten thousand U.S. dollars on Wednesday evening after he held up a businesswoman in Belize City. Police say that the woman was heading home for the day when an armed man held her up in the Golden Bay parking lot. There are no surveillance cameras in the compound and while security guards are at the Golden Bay establishment, they were all inside when the robbery happened. Police say that they are looking at angles, even at the prospect that someone may have known the woman’s routine and that she was carrying the cash.

“On yesterday’s date, sometime after or just before 6, police responded to an alleged shooting at Golden Bay. Upon their arrival, they were informed that a female person was robbed. She was inside the Golden Bay compound, about to exit her vehicle, when a male person approached her and grabbed her bag that she had with her. The female person is Miss Rong Xiao, a Chinese businesswoman. She informed the police that she had been robbed of about ten thousand US dollars currency that was from the day’s sales that’s he had collected from the different stalls at the tourism village. She had went to the Golden Bay to do her daily routine and while exiting her vehicle the male person approached her and had a fight with her for the bag. The male person took out a firearm and hit her to the head causing her to receive a small injury to the head. The person took hold of the bag and ran towards Marine Parade and got into a vehicle and drove off.”
