Two remanded for attempted murder
From the courts, two brothers are behind bars accused of the attempted murder of Francis Parham on Sunday evening on the George Price Highway. Twenty-two year old Shakeedi Baizar of Western Paradise and Akeem Humes, twenty-eight, of Belize City are also charged with use of deadly means of harm and dangerous harm on Parham. Senior Magistrate Aretha Ford read the indictable offenses and took no plea. Baizar and Humes are represented by Anthony Sylvestre. They have been remanded until April twentieth, 2018. Parham and a teenage student from Western Paradise told police that they were traveling to Belize City on motorcycle when a white car approached them from the opposite direction. It stopped and one of the occupants exited and opened fire on both men.
