Raymond Davis a Gun Target in Northside…
In the city, police presence is being felt as far more officers have been deployed to the streets following a recent flare of gun violence. Over the weekend, two persons were shot in separate incidents on Saturday. According to police, car dealer Raymond Wayne Davis was inside a vehicle with a female companion when a gunman emerged from the back of a yard and fired several shots. Police Inspector Wilfredo Ferrufino tells us more.

“Police responded to the K.H.M.H. where they observed one Wayne Davis with a gunshot wound to the forehead. He was there with one Tiffane Vernon. Both are residents of Belize. They indicated that they were sitting at number forty-nine Yorke Street when a lone gunman approached in front of the vehicle and fire approximately eight shots, one hitting Mister Davis on the forehead. He was treated and released; likewise Miss Vernon was treated and released. We don’t have any suspects at this time. He had indicated he didn’t have any problems with anyone and no idea who had shot at him.”
