Taiwanese President Ma Ying-jeou arrives in Belize
Taiwanese President Ma Ying-jeou is on Belizean soil for his first state visit to Belize. On arrival on a private jet, he was given an impressive ceremonial welcome by a large delegation of Cabinet members and the Taiwanese community. The visit has much significance for both Belize and Taiwan. During his stay President Ma will be signing a number of agreements and will address the National Assembly. He will also be bestowed with the Order of Belize and on the cultural side, a Taiwanese percussion group will be performing at the City Center. More on this later in our newscast.
