Bella Vista Pre-Teen Charges Sexual Assault; 3 Held

Public condemnation of violence against children has been fast and furious on the heels of the killing of Allyssa Nunez and murder of Treshawn Goff. Today, it escalated when it came to light that yet another minor, this time an eleven-year-old girl from Bella Vista Village, is the latest victim of sexual abuse to be reported by authorities.  Last Friday, a fifty-two-year-old woman provided a statement to police that her four-year-old daughter had fallen sick.  When the infant was taken for a medical checkup it was discovered that she had been sexually abused.  An investigation was immediately launched into the matter and that probe has unearthed yet another disturbing case coming out of the same household in the south.  As it turns out, the child’s older sister has also been sexually exploited some time ago.  So far three men have been detained pending the outcome of that investigation.  You will note that names are being withheld and this is to protect their identities. According to Assistant Commissioner of Police Joseph Myvett, the trio in detention lives on the same property where both sisters reside.

“I also want to provide an update in relation to the sexual assault case of the four-year-old special needs child that was brought from the south.  Police have since commenced an intense investigation and have since detained three persons for questioning.  Police also conducted several other medical examinations on other females living in the said house and it was determined that an eleven-year-old female was also sexually abused.  Police investigation into this matter is still ongoing.”

“Without any disclosure of names or what have you, are three custodies members of the family?  Can you give us a description?”

“Yes, we would say.  And whilst the scene was visited it is observed that at least three houses in the yard, an unfenced yard, and these were the three males living in the yard at that point in time that were brought in pending this investigation.”

“So it’s believed that, at least at this time, that police suspect that this is the abuse inflicted upon the children [that] were caused possibly by relatives.”

“Well this is the first angle we are looking at; however, we are still following on any new information that has come forward in relation to this investigation.”

On Friday, it was also reported that a female minor had also been raped by a cab driver in Independence Village.  According to the girl, she caught a taxi on March eighth and instead of being taken to school, she was driven to a home where she was forced into performing a sexual act.  Medical examinations reveal that the minor was carnally known.
